UPDATE on HB1804 lawsuit

Oklahoma Attorney General, Drew Edmondson and Congressional Senator Jim Inhofe ask that the courts allow HB1804 to go on. Ruling by Court is still pending. AG Edmondson told Court that the Chambers of Commerce ‘have no legal standing’ and that the County federal court has no jurisdiction in state tax matters.

Senator Inhofe is using HB1804 as a model in Washington as they form a group called the Border Security and Enforcement First Caucus to provide a platform for the issue. Members are Senator Sessions and Vitter, Lamar Alexander, John Barrasso, Chambliss, DeMint, Dole, Domenici, AND ARLEN Specter. (check this group out)

Senator McCain is considered ‘soft’ on illegals. If McCain endorses this Senate package, his platform could look ‘tough on immigration’ creating a distance from his mistaken alliance with Ted Kennedy. THIS IS THE ONLY HOPE FOR HIS ELECTION SUCCESS, FOLKS!!!!!

This is mainly organized by a group called National Mobilization to Support Immigrant Workers, whose motto reads: "We are humans. No one is illegal."

The case of José Ernesto Medellín, who was convicted in Texas courts and sentenced to death for rape and murder of two teenage girls (14 & 16) in 1993 Medellin was told he had a right to remain silent and have a lawyer present, but police did not tell him he could request assistance from the Mexican consulate.

NOW Folks, up until 287g federal training came to Tulsa, THEY could not ask the citizenship of anyone,,,the Hispanic leaders called it racial profiling, yet in 1993 police in Texas were NOW supposed to make exception and in this ONE case to ask for Medellin’s citizenship status.
