> 1.       Do you support the current Major Cities Chief Policy (MCC) known as  “Sanctuary Cities” for minority and illegal aliens in force by the Tulsa Police Chief and current Mayor?  Will you as Councilor encourage the City Admistration continue this practice?
>
I think the actual reality of the situation is that the people south of the border are Indians who were conquered by violent thieving bastards who spoke Spanish and that many of the people who live north of the border are Indians who were conquered by violent thieving bastards who spoke English. Accepting this as the background, I still think America needs to be a Nation of Laws and NOT of Powerful Men who are above the Law.. When people in City, State or National administrations choose to ignore the law, it breaks down our society and acts against proper accountability. If people from south of the border want to live in the United States, there are procedures by which they can achieve this goal. "Sanctuary Cities" are illegal and counterproductive; they teach that the law is not important.

> 2.       Do you feel the Sanctuary Policy practice has proven successful in Tulsa whereby officers befriend minority communities in order to get their help in solving crime in their local community?

I simply don't understand why it's necessary to ignore the law in order to "befriend minority communities." Solving crime in local communities is to their benefit.
>

> 3.       As City Councilor will you work to repeal the current written "Major Cities Chief’s Policy" known by most people as the "sanctuary city" policy?  If so, how will it be done?

If I'm elected, I intend to use my influence to encourage the administration to return to the rule of law in this and related matters. I tend to think that public opinion will support this change.

> 4.       It is mandatory under HB1804 that all State Agencies verify eligible workers through the Federal E-Verify Program.  Should all employers in the City of Tulsa be required to run all new hires through the E-Verify program?

As you mentioned, it's mandatory for the state, so, of course they all should. Why would they not?
>

> 5.       Should Tulsa employers be accountable for their labor hires by heavy fines when they continue to hire workers with no valid identification?   Would you ensure heavy fines are collected?

I don't like the sound of "heavy fines." I think any fines should be reasonable within the body of law where the laws reside, commensurate with fines for similar infractions. The idea of "Making an example" is, in fact, injustice.

> 6..       Would you work to see that all businesses contracted to work with the city of Tulsa do not misclassify their employees as "sub contractors" in order to avoid immigration laws?
>
>
Of course.
>

> 7.       As Councillor, would you be willing to appoint a committee of 5-7 people to hear citizen’s complaints regarding food vendors, food handlers, health permit violations, neighborhood and apartment occupancy ordinance violations, and reporting to the Tulsa City Council and Mayor any recommendations on these valid complaints?
>
This seems to be reasonable, as long as there is an appeal process and people are not "railroaded."
>

> 8.       Do you support a Balanced Budget for Tulsa?
>
>
I support a balanced budget for everybody, including the Federal Government. I suffered voluntary privation for years in order to pay off my credit card debt. It was the sane thing to do. Let my City, State and Nation emulate this policy.
>
> 9.         What else would you like IRON members to know?
>
>
It seems to me that some of the forces behind the anti-illegal-immigration efforts are based on hatred and ethnic prejudice. I wish this were not so. I think it militates against the legitimate efforts in this direction and it also tends to encourage prejudice against legal Hispanic community members. Understanding this, I still think the present situation is insupportable and that our city should welcome all legal immigrants, while discouraging illegal immigration.
